Click on New Hire Info for your complete enrollment package. It’s the time of year when you can make changes to your health coverage such as switching plans or adding/deleting dependents. There is also an open enrollment period for the Flexible Spending Account Plans. When Open Enrollment is in process, you’ll be notified that information is posted on the Open Enrollment tab and also on the Home page under ANNOUNCEMENTS.
Open Enrollment for the health plans occurs in the spring/summer with changes effective August 1st. Open Enrollment for the Flexible Spending Account Plans occurs in the winter with elections effective January 1st. Check the Calendar tab for exact dates.
Click on Benefit Plan Info, then OVERVIEW. The cost of your coverage depends on the plan you select and the number of your eligible dependents enrolled. Your payroll deductions are made on a before-tax basis, generally 2-3 paychecks after enrolling.
The Flexible Spending Account Plans let you use before-tax money to pay for eligible health and dependent care expenses that are not reimbursable under another plan. If you want to enroll, you must return the enrollment form within 30 days of becoming eligible. Otherwise, you must wait until the next Open Enrollment period to enroll. Click on Benefit Plans and scroll down for the Flexible Spending Account Plans BENEFIT SUMMARY.
You can change your primary care physician or dentist anytime by contacting Aetna directly either on-line or by telephone using the number on your ID card (or see Contacts).
If you get married, you can add your spouse to your health coverage within 30 days of the marriage. You’ll have to provide a copy of your marriage certificate.
If you get divorced, you can remove your spouse from your health coverage within 30 days of the divorce. You’ll have to provide a copy of first page of your divorce papers.
If you have a baby, you can add the baby to your health coverage within 30 days of the birth. You’ll have to provide a copy of the birth record that is given to you in the hospital.
In all cases, if you fail to take action within 30 days, you’ll have to wait for the next Open Enrollment period.
